SP2627 Maxwel Anchor Winch Prespliced Rope Chain Kit - 10m of 6mm chain & 50 metres 12mm 8 plait rope 

A quality soft spliced anchor rope and chain kit for use with suitable boat anchor winches.

Purpose:

When using an anchor winch it is sometimes not practical to have an all chain anchor rode due to chain being so heavy.

This is particulary important on racing yachts or trailerboats.

The most common solution is to use a anchor winch rope chain kit such as this Maxwell one which has the chain and the anchor line soft spliced 

end to end to allow the chain and rope to pass easily through the anchor winch without getting stuck.

• The kits have  a length of galvanised chain for the anchor end to prevent chaffing but lighter rope for the rest of the rode.
• These kits use quality nylon 8 plait rope that is superior for gripping the rope in the gypsy.
• Available in a range of chain and rope sizes and lengths.

Note: When selecting a rope chain kit you will need to match the rope and chain size to your anchor winch.
Whilst most of the Maxwell range will accept both rope and chain not all anchor winches do.
